I know that they are now in demand as people are downsizing and this type of chair is easy storage and very useful. You could take one to a reputable Antique Dealer they would be able to give you more information and the value. If the manufactureres name is on the chairs they are probably worth more money.

What do you think? Answer below!

Is it rude to offer someone something and then complain about it?

Question by eyikoluvsandy: Is it rude to offer someone something and then complain about it?
I mean, offering things and then taking it back or complaining the whole way? For example–I have a friend (Sue) who does this a lot. She’ll offer you something, say a towel at the beach, and then she’ll be rude about actually giving it to you. I watched her do this. We had all gone to the beach, and she said she had an extra towel that we could use to lay on the sand. As it turned out, we didn’t need to use it because there were chairs there already. After we got out of the water, it started to get a little chilly. Another friend (already dried off and changed) used the extra (dry) towel to wrap around her since it was cold and her towel was wet.

Sue sees her, and says nothing at first. Then she says she doesn’t want to get sand on it (even though at first we were going to use it to lay on the sand). Then she said “well if you go play in the sun, you should get warm…” Then she said “that’s a brand new towel y’know. I haven’t used it yet.” And at that point, she just took the towel off our friend’s shoulders, folded it and put it in her bag. I thought it was pretty rude. Especially since she (Sue) wasn’t even using it. It just sat in the bag, and our friend was sitting there shivering for the next hour. Sue tends to do things like that. She’ll offer to do things, but then she’ll either complain about it when the time comes, or back out, or try to make you feel guilty about it. Why do you think she does that? Do you think that was rude of her?
mine was wet too.

Answer by Jake No Chat
It is rude.
No idea as to why she does it, but some people just like to complain. They want to be nice (and think that sharing makes them a nice person) but they really don’t want to be taken up on the offer. If they constantly do it, then they have a problem.

Are you familiar with those cheap plastic resin chairs that stack easily (seems like everyone has a few). They are now making seat cushions/backs for those chairs. I’ve seen them at discount stores like Walmart and home stores like Home Depot.

Why You Should Never Even Think About Camping Without a Camping Chair

Article by J. Forrester

It’s just unfathomable to think that anyone would consider going camping without camping chairs. There are several reasons for relying on this accessory piece of furniture whether you’re camping on the beach or hiking and camping in the wilds.

ComfortMaybe the primary reason in toting a camp chair with you on your camping excursions is the ultimate comfort you can enjoy. No matter the camp chair of choice you are guaranteed what you deserve in terms of relaxation.

For instance, a recliner with locking footrest or lounger with removable cup holder are two forms of luxury at the camp site that offer a nice diversion from other camp activities. Of course, other camping chairs such as oversized, padded quad chairs and hammock chairs offer a nice bit of indulgence to the weary camper as well.

Even if you’re hiking, camp chairs such as backpacking chairs and folding camping chairs such as folding stools are lightweight chairs that can be easily transported and used for purposes of rest and relaxation along the trail.

MobilityAll the camping chairs offer portability which is essential when camping. Most are made of lightweight steel frames and can be housed in carrying cases or bags for maximum mobility. The cases or bags also protect camp chairs from damage, which can definitely happen with the amount of moving around a person does while camping. Because of their ease of transport, most folding camping chairs can be readily moved and taken wherever you want to go.

FeaturesEach camp chair has a number of exceptional features depending on its use. For example, the rocking camping chair is a durable rocker that offers such features as headrest, padded armrests, and a fabric that is waterproof and stain resistant. Likewise, the portable deck chair is a folding camp chair that provides, in some styles, ergonomic design combined with substantial padding and straps that forfeit the need for you to carry a bag.

The ever-popular quad chair offers plenty of comfort, with some models providing such amenities as cup holders, coolers, and security pockets. For backpackers, the butterfly chair is a very accessible chair. Less than a pound, it’s easy to carry and sets up without difficulty. In addition, most of these chairs can accommodate anyone up to 250 pounds.

Of course, hammock chairs can speak for themselves by way of the rest and relaxation they offer. Suspended from a tree branch on a summer’s day, you can luxuriate in the warm breeze.Put your feet in the footrest and take your thoughts away to the land of peace and tranquility. Then there are the loveseats for cozy nights fireside. These double chairs come in various styles, such as rockers, collapsible beach chairs, inflatable chairs, with some offering built-in cup holders.

A camping trip just wouldn’t be a camping trip without the appropriate chair. Otherwise, you’ll defeat the purpose of going in the first place.

Question by LILIƬH ЅI∏CLΔIΓ: Did you ever hear the one about the guy who saw a grizzly bear when he went camping?
There was this guy who told his friend a story about what had happened to him when he went on a camping trip in the forest. As his story goes……, I was tired from setting up my tent. I then decided to sit down in one of those fold up chairs and have a cold beer and eat some honey toast. While I was enjoying the snack a wild grizzly not too far away, smelled the honey toast and went berserk. The bear went charging towards me roaring at me and drooling over the smell of the honey. I totally freaked out from the suddenly adrenaline boost and took off running at top speed as fast as I could to escape the huge bastard, but I kept slipping and falling as I tried to outrun him. It was terrible, I couldn’t stop to catch my breath and I had no toilet paper.
The guy’s friend then asked him, why would you need toilet paper? The guy answered, because I kept slipping and falling from all of the shet that wouldn’t stop flying out of my a$ $ !

Please star if you like this joke!!

I need advice! What do you think about my choice of chair rentals?

Friday, January 7th, 2011

Question by Selah: I need advice! What do you think about my choice of chair rentals?
I have an autumn themed wedding. My linens are ivory with a gold organza overlay. my center pieces are floral with some willow branches and other fall foliage incorporated into them in dark urns. The wedding is indoors and will be at night.

For the cost and the look, these are the chairs I chose: http://www.amigopartyrental.com/*widgets/gallery/detail.jspy?G=TG4760&P=TG59257189&F=/chairs.nxg

They are fruitwood folding chairs with a tan pad for $ 3.00 a piece.

Should I have chosen the lighter wood color?:

http://www.amigopartyrental.com/*widgets/gallery/detail.jspy?G=TG4760&P=TG63829781&F=/chairs.nxg

I tend to like dark colors, but my linens are light. Any opinions?

Best answer:

Answer by Meredith H
I can’t really be sure, but I think that probably indoors, at night, you made the right choice by going with the darker chairs.

Q&A: What to do about ceremony chairs?

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

Question by CuppinCake: What to do about ceremony chairs?
Our venue will supply and set up ceremony chairs for 0. Unfortunately, the only choices they have are cheap-looking benches with no backs (VERY hard and uncomfortable, especially for elderly guests) or equally cheap-looking blue plastic folding chairs (tacky and not in our colours).

We’d rather not go through the hassle of renting and picking up/delivering our own chairs.

We have chair covers for the comfy banquet chairs — should we use the banquet chairs for the ceremony at no extra cost (there’s a gap between ceremony and reception, filled with other activities, so it’s not like guests would be left without chairs)? This would require a bunch of people to move the heavy banquet chairs back and forth though.

OR, should we use the same chair covers to cover the ugly 0 folding chairs and the banquet chairs? (This would take a bit of extra time, especially to get everything pinned properly.)

Do you have any other suggestions? Do you think 0 is par for the course, or a rip-off? We’re purchasing the “wedding package,” so I thought that ceremony seating would be included…guess I was wrong.

Best answer:

Answer by Avis B
As the host and hostess of the event, yes, you should provide some type of comfortable seating for your guests, especially, if there is a time period between the ceremony and the reception. So select the most comfortable chair, and if you are not happy with the looks or color of the chair then rent some covers.

Most chairs rent between and per chair depending on what type of chair is being offered and how far it has to be transported. Many wedding packages do not include chairs, just like many facilities will charge an additional fee to cut and serve the wedding cake if the cake was not made by their in-house baker.

What You Should Know About Plastic Folding Chairs

What You Should Know About Plastic Folding Chairs

There are several types of chairs available today. These are usually chosen depending on the occasion and your expected satisfaction. Your interest in plastic folding chairs might best be known to you. However, there are a number of people out there who might lack the right information as to the ideal places for use and its general importance. This article is therefore intended to offer you more insight as to the appropriate places and time these chairs are required to be used as well as some facts to increase your stock of knowledge on the chair.

You would agree with me that no chair comes almost near when it comes to the level of flexibility and comfort in your office or even the lawns than the plastic folding chairs.

The chair dates way back into centuries. What is best known is that Egyptians developed what was called the folding stools for certain important occasion. Among some of these included the marking of military and ceremonial applications. Time has not spared this chair with a number of changes and transformations. The chair has actually seen major evolvement overtime even to these modern days. Today, they are versatile in nature. Folding chairs usually fold up for easy and quick storage in closets and trunks and places where standard seating is supposed to be left out more or less permanently. One other important feature about the plastic folding chairs is that they are more compact when packing them. This means many of them can be packed to occupy a small amount of space.

They are usually made of plastic and are built to resist scratches and other defects associated with transporting them from one place to the other. Even though the plastic folding chair can be of use in so many places like, sporting events, concerts and gyms can be perfect places for these chairs.

Again, the plastic folding chairs are highly recommended for travelers. This is because unlike the other folding chairs made of metals which are usually tough; these plastic ones are sturdy but less tough for their use. Again, I’m sure you will be comfortable to lift a number of the plastic made chairs compared with lifting only two or three of the ones made of metal. In other words they are less heavy and can easily be stacked together to allow easy lifting. Offices also enjoy their usage due the fact that they look sleeker with more professional outlook and very flexible. Their particular stylish appearance adds value when used in places like the church, outdoor weddings as well as reception halls. It would not be a bad idea at all to consider them when planning your next outdoor event!
