Any tips for this bit of writing? Would you read more?

Question by HP Resource: Any tips for this bit of writing? Would you read more?
I’m doing a little writing exercise for a class. The focus is on dialogue and character, which is why there’s not much in the way of description. Let me know what you think of the dialogue, and if anything is glaringly bad. It’s just the first half of it, but wanted to get a feel for how my class may respond to it. Thanks!

—-

I’m not a good father, according to my wife. Paula’s always on about what Dr. Phil said today about men like me, and how Maggie’s gonna end up being a slut or a prostitute because I’m not around enough. Dr. Phil is full of sh*t, but I don’t want to take any chances with Maggie, so I’m taking her on a camping trip. That’s what my dad did with me and my brothers, so that’s what I’m doing with Maggie. I may not be a good father, but I’m d*mned good at camping.

Maggie’s backpack is almost as big as she is, which looks cute as hell out here in the woods. I don’t know how to fix her hair up like Paula does it, so she’s wearing my old, red baseball cap, snapped to the smallest fit it goes to.

“Daddy, how much more do we gotta walk?”

“Almost there, Magpie,” I tell her. She grins away like she always does when I call her Magpie.

“Remember,” I say, “Mommy thinks we’re at the campground with lots of people around, so don’t tell her we went camping way the hell out here all alone.”

“Okay.”

“If you tell, I’ll get in trouble with her. Then YOU’LL get in trouble with ME.”

I look down at her and she looks a little scared, so I can tell she gets it. Kids her age’ll say whatever they want, if you don’t tell ‘em otherwise.

We get to a clearing covered with red and yellow leaves and without too many rocks. It looks like there’s a fire pit dug out near the middle, probably from someone camping early in the summer.

I start getting camp set up, and Maggie runs around like a chicken with her head cut off. Of course, she trips and falls and scrapes up her knees.

“Stop crying,” I say, and she cries louder. “It’s what you get for running around and not helping me.” I’m trying to fit the plastic rod into the tent’s loops, and can hardly concentrate with her crying and carrying on.

“But it hurts!” she cries.

“Man up,” I say. “Man up and shut up!”

“But… I’m not… a man,” she says between sobs.

Her little grubby face has tear marks running down, and I realize that I’m not doin’ such a good job. Maggie’ll grow up to be a prostitute if things keep going this way with her and me. I give her a little hug and pull a candy bar outta my backpack. She stops crying, and I finish setting everything up.

It gets dark pretty quick, so I get the campfire lit. Maggie throws everything she finds into the fire like a regular pyromaniac, giggling like a little elf.

I start to tell her a scary story, one my brothers told me when I was her age. Her eyes go wide as saucers when I get to the part about the monsters in the forest. Even though it’d be good for her to face her fears and toughen up, I stop talking about the monsters and fill the story with things like horses and princesses. My brothers would hold me down and kick me if they knew I was telling fluff like this around a man’s campfire, and Dad would probably laugh as they did it. But none of them has a little girl, or else they’d do everything they could to keep her from being scared, too.

Maggie ends up on my folding chair, curled in my lap and asleep. I throw an empty beer can over my shoulder and pull the tab of a new one, being careful not to spill any on Maggie.

Then, all of a sudden and for no reason that I can figure, I get this funny feeling about the woods. I don’t hear nothing moving on the dry leaves, or see anything out the corner of my eye, but I sure can feel something.

It’s like I’m sitting in a police station, in that tiny room with the big mirror. Everyone knows it ain’t a mirror, and that people are watching you through from the other side. Right here in the woods, I know someone is watching me and my little baby girl…
—–
My teacher won’t mind about the prostitute stuff. We’re all adults in the class. I don’t think it’ll be a problem unless you think the topic is “untrue” in any way: that a person would simply never think those kinds of thoughts.

I don’t think the prostitute section would do so well with your teacher.

Question by different drummer: Only have 24 hours left to plan a quick backyard get together with 10 people, casual. It’s on a very limited?
budget & for a friend’s birthday but also to celebrate my stepkids being here, so they are helping plan it (they are young and very creative, and love to help). We were going to do a Gilligan’s Island theme but that will run into more money and time, so now we’re just going for tropical.

Some ideas we have:

food on toothpicks, such as hotdogs or spam, pineapple, tropical fruit salad, cherry, mandarin orange, bananas

pineapple and coconut for decoration (real)

Set up a hammock, radio, old wrecked boat called the SS Minnow, and citronella tiki torches.

Grass skirt for the table she’s sitting at with the food

jimmy buffet, island/Carribean music, Somewhere Over the Rainbow – Iz, Marina Raye (for nighttime), Bob Marley

Fold napkins into boats, put spoons and forks inside

tropical air freshener party favors and a nice big tropical scented candle for the birthday girl

pineapple juice and pineapple flavored drinks along with usual soda and tea

Shish kabobs if we can get a grill

plastic chairs plus canvas chairs

Cover tent to make it look look like a hut

limbo contest

pineapples and coconut decoration

facepainting

Any other ideas? This is not in any particular order, just what I’ve whittled it down to, as time permits.
Okay, Brad, that actually relieves me…like which ones should I discard?
Great ideas, you’re getting me in the mood :D
Air fresheners and other cheap things at dollar tree.
The tent, blow up pool and tiki torches we already have for summer camping and needed to air it out and set it up anyway, we just might decorate it a bit.
We just don’t have any lights.
The kids are going to make the hammock from a sheet and the boat from cardboard or other items, and the napkin boats and other things won’t be expensive at all.
Great….so far, I am working on the music, the playlist, and some of the food. I have the kids making potato salad, and am getting ready to frost some cakes. I’m going to make one with a pineapple or banana-topped white frosting, since I don’t have time to do a banana cream pie.

I need to shorten this by 8 -18 words, help!?

Friday, March 4th, 2011

Question by Sk84thegold: I need to shorten this by 8 -18 words, help!?
Colorful bowls of cereal line white tables surrounded by black, plastic chairs. A line of preschoolers crawl into their seats, ready to eat. Spoons are pulled off the table as children are reminded that they must pray first. A song is sung with folded hands and little fingers make a dash for the spoons in the middle of the table. Milk sloshes out of bowls and juice spills across the floor. A two-year old looks up at me for a napkin, knowing that if he pulls out his from under his cup, his juice will also be gone.
The kids finish their breakfast and line up again, little hands holding onto a rope. One boy lets go and runs off down the hall, disappearing into another room where he is found playing with play-doh that was left on a table. He’s taken back to the line as the children walk down the colorful halls painted with forest scenes. The rope is picked up by teachers as the kids run into their classroom for free play. Plastic tools pound on a workbench as bins of toys are poured out onto the floor. All seemed calm as music played in the background. But soon enough, screaming and crying commenced. Amari had bitten his cousin, Brandon had pushed over Charlize and Serenity’s towers, and Malachi was throwing potato head parts at people. The light blue walls encasing a room of toys and happy children had given way to what for some would be a nightmare. For the teachers from the (5 words), this was a daily occurrence.
The children were given five minutes to clean up and line up to go to the bathrooms. Somehow the room was spotless as the rope went out the door. The children went four at a time into the bathrooms, told to hurry for we had to get to the bible story. But hurry they didn’t. Giggles were heard as sinks overflowed with soapy bubbles and a little boy drenched his head from underneath the sink. And that was just the beginning. I can’t understand why the teachers from (2 words) love their job, but for some reason I loved it too.
It’s 368 words right now and it needs to be about 350. Please help.
Thanks everybody! I got it down to 352 :)

Answer by Aunty Joyce
Take “ready to eat” off the second sentence and “little hands holding onto a rope” from second paragraph. Nice writing. Change the tense in your very last sentence, so that they are both the same tense. (present or past) (love, loved)

Furniture-less in an unfurnished home. Help!?

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

Question by The Banana Tree: Furniture-less in an unfurnished home. Help!?
I just moved into a 3-bdrm place until school starts (September). The place is unfurnished. Other than a fold up plastic desk, office chair, and minimal kitchen supplies I have nothing else. I’m collecting cardboard boxes for clothes (I have hangers for the closet, but boxes for everything else). I currently have $ 20 in my bank account to cover groceries and furniture until the next payday (check comes on Friday, the bank’s hold on it will be released by the Tuesday afterwords)

What’s the best way to spend my money? I figure I’ll need at least $ 7-$ 10 for food, because my fridge is almost empty.

I really need something to sleep on… is there anything I can do to make the floor/sleeping bag situation more comfortable?

Mission to “Mars”

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

Google Tech Talk April 5, 2010 ABSTRACT Presented by David D. Levine. In January 2010 I spent two weeks at the Mars Desert Research Station, a simulated Mars base in the Utah desert. Although the Martian conditions were simulated, the science was real, as were the isolation, hostile environment, and problems faced by the six-person crew. Although my official title was Crew Journalist, I soon found myself repairing space suits, helping to keep the habitat running, and having interplanetary adventures I’d never before imagined. My talk on the experience is profusely illustrated with photographs and has gotten rave reviews. Please see bentopress.com for more information. My name is David D. Levine and I’m a science fiction writer. I’ve sold over 40 short stories to all the major markets, including Asimov’s and Analog, and I’ve won a Hugo Award, been nominated for the Nebula, and won or been shortlisted for many other awards as well as appearing in numerous Year’s Best anthologies. I retired in 2007 after a 25-year career as a technical writer, software engineer, and user interface designer for Tektronix, Intel, and McAfee and now spend my days writing, traveling, and getting into trouble. Sorry it took ages to upload!!! So… Here it is: Darcy started to move. Alyson looked up from her feet, then looked at me. Darcy’s POV: I jolted awake, I blinked a few times because my vision was fuzzy. Then the first person I saw was Justin. I smiled at him, he smiled back. I looked over and saw Alyson. “Hi.” I said. Alyson got right out of her chair. “Are you okay?” She looked at me like she was crazy or something, her eyes bigger than an owl. “Yeah…Ow… My arms hurts.” I moved my arm a bit and looked at it. “I heard you’re going to have an operation on it.” Justin walked closer to the bed, looking at me. Someone walked in, my mom. “Hey sweetie.” She said in a high voice. “Hi Mom.” I smiled. “Are you feeling okay?” She was so quiet. “Yeah, I’m okay. My arm hurts.” “Well, you have to have an operation on it.” She explained. “Okay.” I didn’t have much to say to that. It’s a requirement. My mom is a police officer, when she heard her own daughter got in an accident, of course she was worried, but she was pretty quiet about it. Alyson walked up to the side of my bed. “No one told me about you getting hurt!” She raised up her arms. Justin made a face. “Shut up Alyson.” Justin said, and gritted his teeth like “Better be quiet or I’ll hurt you.” I just laid there and watched. “Well it’s true…” He voice trailed off. “Enough you two.” My mom looked at them both. “You might get Darcy started, why don’t we get something to eat and let her rest.” She put her hand on Justin’s

Show Notes: The show opens up with a dedication in the memory of Jon Honig by Evelyn, Jeff, Wendy and Richard. The rap like music begins, and our hip Bubbe gets into her spiel. Today it is all about chicken. But not just any chicken, this is schnitzel. It is a great way to give yourself a treat with not as much fat. And when the grandchildren eat it, what more can you ask. Bubbe then shows off something that she is very proud of. It is a sample that says Lifes greatest treasures come from the heart or as Bubbe likes to call it Feelings come from the heart. Time to get to work. Find the recipe on feedmebubbe.com. So first the bread crumbs is really important. Grate it yourself but make sure to use the correct side of the grater. If you use the wrong side well it could hurt. Just make sure to watch your fingers. Then comes the egg, and the water, and the mixing. Speaking of mixing, in the flour is all kinds of spices. It is all about taking the spoon and mixing it all together. Time to get rid of the fat. Just cut it out the best that you can and put into a plastic bag. And now it is hammer time. With inter-city bus ride times now in the single digits there is far less time for toilet humor and other interesting things to happen…the only thing worth photographing on our trip into Baños was the fact that they oversold the tickets so we had to sit on plastic garden chairs in the isle! Baños is our kinda town…big enough to have all the conveniences you need and small enough to be able to walk everywhere. Having decided to stay a good few days we unpack the bags and settle into a very very nice hostel with wood fires in the social area every night. The name of the game for 5 days was to try and out sleep each other every morning. Nearing the end of our time here in South America we have opted to take it really easy for the last few weeks and have a holiday from the holiday so to speak! We do still have some things we want to see but its mostly chilling from here on out. Alas, the sleeping game was destroyed by the bike hire shop opening up next door in the mornings. Not bicycles. Quad bikes, motor bikes and buggys…you know the kind: the NOISY kind! Oh well, most days we lazed around the hostel until about 10 or

INTERIOR DESIGNERS: Do you have any old bedroom to cool loft interior design ideas?

Wednesday, February 9th, 2011

Question by Allyce: INTERIOR DESIGNERS: Do you have any old bedroom to cool loft interior design ideas?
Above my garage, there’s this extra bedroom. My family uses it as an attic. We keep old stuff, some nonperishable food, and just junk up there. I want to turn the attic into a cool place for me to maybe sleep, do homework, etc. The furniture (minus the junk) is pretty simple. It’s a queen sized bed with a low headboard (with the mattress and bedding there as well) and generally very low, like an oak or fir wood. Same goes for the dresser, only the dresser is a little old and rickety and doesn’t work very well. There’s a long plastic table and I can get a folding chair. The reason I wanted to use the attic was because the architecture in the room was so cool! The ceiling slopes a little (the rafters are not visible) and on the stairs up, there’s this little piece of wall that just hangs out as a divider from the stairs and the rest of the room because the room starts before the stairs end.
The room is completely white, and there’s a closet with ceiling to floor mirrors. There are two windows- one is very long and near the bed, and one is right near the stairs. The room is about the size of a small bedroom.
I cannot buy furniture, but I want to know what I can change on a less than 100 dollar budget.
Any ideas? THANKS!

plastic folding chairs gafas

question : Can you help me with my story site ?
Chapter OneEine eerie whisper murmured flit between the trees above us as we trooped in our folding chairs, waiting for sunrise. Tristan’s open eyes staring into the darkness, glazed by the continuous veil of the moon that fell through the open slots in the canopy. My fingers caressed the pale blade of a bloody machete burgundy, which I froze on the puddle, which was spotted in the semi-lit candles, gazed on the forest floor. A crazy black face in my direction when I looked into the murky waters of the River. I tore into my chair and shook his machete, trying, my throat sore. My breathing accelerated, my heart pounded, but my eyes were on peaceful Tristan’s body, draped like a beautiful piece of fabric, calm and quiet fixiert.Ein golden glow faded rose majestically above the horizon and the moon in a dark sky. The forest hummed a steady beat, the melody was the cooing of distant birds. Everything was awakened flies buzzed feverishly on Tristan, and I quickly took my hat, crazy strikes over the neck, “Tristan … Wake”. I muttered. His head hung back, draped his body anymore, but was stiff and macabre. I whimpered, “Brother, we must go,” his blood stained my hands and clothes, and I looked at her, confused. Contorted fingers, veins out, I threw my hands up in anger at skeletal trees, which threatened to interrogate me, “What?” No answer. Only birds fluttered among the branches. I stared at her, excited (yahoo Q & A this block is c 0 cked & I do not know it raw in a way!) My head and saw the green tarp that we had set ourselves the night before. I pulled him from the oak arm and dragged her to Tristan’s body, wrapping it in plastic cocoon. “Yes, brother, stay asleep, I’ll carry you -. Because I was your burden, now you are mine, but you must keep your promises They told me you would protect me would always be with me Can not tell me .. go out alone, I could be something stupid … so I will not do it without you. “*** Ok, so it’s everything I’ve written. It’s called schizophrenia and a mental patient and clinically insane killing girl, people in their village. She lives in northern Georgia in 1940ish her family are Ossetians. Their village and the law condemns them to death for their murders, but her mother claimed that her and her older brother, Tristan, would run away, and that they have the woods together, so they move would not be killed. But she kills his brother one night for no reason (just because they do not understand death, and not as I say, what to do from him.) Then people will start from the village to hide from the Germans, who came into the war. These people can find it and … I do not know what will happen: S please help Best Answer:

I am throwing a Rave Party.. Can you help?

Saturday, February 5th, 2011

Question by Rachel L: I am throwing a Rave Party.. Can you help?
Ok, so I am throwing a rave for my 18th birthday. I have a lot of the things I need already, such as: Strobe Lights, Cosmo Lights, Folding Tables, Folding Chairs, food, decorations, ect. All I am stumped on now is, where I can find plastic neon shot glasses. I am doing virgin jell-o shooters.

So, when I ask this question, I am asking two in one.

1. Where can I find plastic neon shot glasses, about 20 of them.
2. How do you make jell-o shooters?

If you can help me, that would be great. Thank you soo much!
Please keep in mind, these are VIRGIN jell-o shooters. Under age teenagers will be drinking these.

Best answer:

Answer by Patrick

A Guide To Folding Chairs

Article by Mark

You would think shopping for something like folding type chairs would be simple, but it can actually be quite the challenge. There are so many different brands, styles and features to choose from and you can find the perfect folding outdoor chairs that are high quality and still affordable.

Always check out the frame of a chair before buying it. The frame should be sturdy and solid. If you are overweight you may need a special chair that is going to hold the weight without failing. Considering the material of the chair is also important. You are going to be using it outside, in the elements, so it must be waterproof and weatherproof. Gortex is a preferable material for outdoor folding down chairs. The material is completely waterproof but also lightweight. It will stay dry and even if it does get rained on it will dry very quickly so you always have a dry place to sit.

You may be interested in the chairs that have a seat on them. This way you can take out your food and then still have a place to sit down and eat it. These chairs have a sturdy base and fold open into a chair. Some even have a fold out cooler underneath, so you can actually store your food and drinks right in your chair. These are ideal for camping and other outdoor adventures because you can carry everything in one bag and not have to worry about toting multiple bags around everywhere.

Outdoor plastic folding chairs are the least expensive. Because they are so cheap however, they break easily. If you travel a lot or otherwise know your trips will be pretty rough, it would be more to your benefit to get some heavy duty outdoor folding chairs. These will stand up to the wear and tear you put them through and not chip or dent.

Metal outdoor folding chairs are the most durable. Typically made of a lightweight aluminum, these are easy to carry around and some even fold down so they fit in the back of your backpack.

Chairs are an essential item to pack for any camping trip. Now that you know what to look for you can feel more comfortable out shopping for new chairs.

Folding Chairs For Many Occasions In Many Places

Folding Chairs For Many Occasions In Many Places

Article by Cherry Lou Mann

Folding chairs are essential furniture items not only for the home but for many places. Their only main function is for seating but they certainly prove helpful and invaluable in so many occasions. Home offices, churches and schools will also find them very useful.

At home, they are fantastic starter pieces for newly-weds or single individuals who are venturing out on their own. They are a great help for they are relatively cheap to acquire and they may be used in a variety of ways such as dining chairs and outdoor seats. Once these folks have invested on standard and grander sets, these pieces later on can be reserved and pull out for unexpected visitors and guests during home parties.

Churches are always filled with parishioners. It is not uncommon to learn that the duration of the mass can be rather lengthy. These chairs then are a heaven-sent to those who couldn’t be accommodated by the regular pews inside. Instead of hearing the mass standing up, the churchgoers can be comfortable and relaxed so they can do their worship in a solemn way.

Home offices may be provided with plastic folding chairs for their use in their cafeteria or pantry. These are also wonderful investments for anytime there are impromptu meetings with the employees everyone will be given their seats. In private and public offices, they would do really well as chairs for the waiting areas.

Schools have plenty of students around. Having these items in stock is very essential so the academic institutions can cater to the seating needs of parents, faculties and students during school plays, commencement exercises and other literary-musical presentations. Canteens will find them of huge help so a flock of students will be afforded accommodations during crowded lunch breaks and snack times. They may also be kept on the sides as extra seats in conference rooms and libraries.

What are the rules on table linens for a wedding?

Monday, January 24th, 2011

question from Jamie L : What are the rules on the table linens for a wedding
I’m on a very small (under $ 1500) budget for my wedding. We found a beautiful building in a park at the front desk for $ 100 to hold. The problem is that tables and chairs are ugly. The tables are 6 feet from a white plastic “banquet” tables, which you can buy at WalMart for $ 40 and chairs are standard metal folding chairs. We want the tables just as you can see we do not have much money to spend to cover the lines. My fiance believes that we should just plastic tablecloths in our colors, but I think it is somehow klebrig.Ich some plastic tablecloths found for $ 7 each, I think we could buy, but I do not know the rules on the table and bedding. If we make tablecloths, we make table runners and chair covers and table cloths, we can only do that or whether we would be better off just to make plastic? We have a very casual wedding and reception. We are going to serve fried chicken, corn, green beans, potato salad and rolls. We are on the heavy “fancy” plastic plates to eat best answer.

response symplicated

It’s your wedding, there are no rules. You should make the place so they do not have policies that you must check to follow, but they understand that the bride and groom have their preferences, and they are usually not stören.Wenn design of things you can not afford a table runner , get creative! What is with stones in the middle of the table with decorative candles floating in bowls of water? You all can get at Walmart for under $ 30. Plastic is quite sticky, try using a rag and jazz it up in ways that will suit your personality.

Does these sentences sounds like Metaphor? How can I write it so?

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

Question by Azumi: Does these sentences sounds like Metaphor? How can I write it so?
Good Bye

The eerie mist spread contagiously as a virus across the cramp room
Soft chatters and silent tears equally being share
Fresh food set aside on plastic plates unable to longer be consumed
Voices gradually began to fade toward the opened air
I follow abruptly with my newly worn black dress similar to a vampire
The crooked line extend awaiting as a predator stalking his prey
Grasping the worn-out teddy-bear I ran faster following the warm fire
Arriving in front of dozen of folded-chairs being opened
An ancient stand stood in front with the presence of the holy heavens
I sat next to my mother whose figure is constantly shaken
If only the sun rise sooner this nightmare could have end
“Mother! Mother!” my voice echo with a sound through the Grand Canyon
Everyone stood up repeating their prayers after the priest in allusion

Perfect chair to lean back in?

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

Question by Anonymous: Perfect chair to lean back in?
What is a good chair to have where I can lean back, having only 2/4 legs on the ground and does not break? I’ve broken plastic ones, wooden ones, and folding ones. No, I’m not fat.
I like the feeling of leaning back, so I’m not going to use a couch. Plus, I’m talking about like when I play video games, and I play better up close, closer than sitting on my couch.

Is this publishable? or does it have potential? (a snippet of a work in progress)?

Thursday, December 30th, 2010

Question by : Is this publishable? or does it have potential? (a snippet of a work in progress)?
It is Thanksgiving and once again, I eat alone, hovering over my kitchen counter. The oven roasted turkey sandwich, which I so professionally prepared with equal amounts of Valium; two green pills crumbled to smithereens mixed in with the mustard and there all alone standing over the counter like a vigilant orange bottle half empty with the rest of the diazepam pills , for dessert. This is pathetic even I know this; but this has been my Thanksgiving for years; being strung out on drugs while enjoying a simple yet, traditional thanksgiving feast. I have adapted to loneliness. I live life not worrying about others; this is the lowest realm of narcissism. It’s all me?, me?, me?; instead of me, me, me. The sun of my kitchen brings me fake sunshine, I love plastic sunshine. I feel like a zombie, life can be so boring. I make it boring. I stand around getting a high, eating an oven roasted turkey sandwich in a two-bedroom apartment. The second room was for Sister but she did not move in, she stayed; she stayed at our parent’s house. I take a bite of my toasted bread and the phone rings. I chew on my Valium mustard covered turkey and the phone rings again. I never answer my phone; it’s usually telemarketers trying to sell me toner from some third world country. The reason I know this is because only Sister and Dan have this number. The reason they have my number is because Sister bought me this phone. I hate phones, she made me; I promise. The reason Dan has the number is he is one of my managers; he might have to call me in to be Cat. Dan has a lot of family and friends, so he is not going to take a moment out of his time to call miserably pathetic me. It rings one last time before my machine shuts it up, it threatens it to stay quite by saying, “I am not here. Leave a message.” The annoying beep tells my machine to let the hostage go and the hostage sounds like Sister. “Hey, it’s me. Answer your phone. I know you’re just eating your sandwich.” Amazing, that telepathy thing at work or am I just really predictable. Sister says something to someone in the background, comes back with loud pop music attacking my ability to hear her correctly, I think she says, “Just calling to…fool me, fool me…hoping you would come over…pretend that you love me…call me back if…anything but you…I’m waiting” Her message left me appetite less with predictability and the urge to say that you need me dance. I abandon my sandwich on the doorsteps of the Garbage family. I heard they were nice.
I grab my dessert. The pills belonged to a woman with anxiety, which left her purse at Cat’s Game, when she brought her five children to have as much fun as a wall with the inevitable annoyance of a nail on its surface. I am terribly sorry Ms. Wozniak of 2731 Malian Drive. With my condolences out the window I use the one cup I have in the house to fill with tap water. I catapult the green beauties into my mouth, I drink the disgusting water. My esophagus couldn’t be happier. Abandoning the cup in the sink, I navigate to where a television should be but find a plastic fold out chair in its place with a pack of Camel Lights sleeping on top waiting to be smoked. I fulfill their desires by lighting up. Aww, sweet death. As I inhale I wonder what the world is doing, in America, the United States, a majority of them are having a ball with a dead bird. The rest of the world is doing something. What am I doing? Nothing is right. I exhale, smoke covers my face. I hate the smell of smoke but I love smoking. Weird.
