THEATER HISTORY: AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ – the 1988 3rd Season Opener featuring this performance of HONEYSUCKLE ROSE – was inspired by Stage Director Robert Cacioppo who persuaded Producer Mark Wilson the musical could be mounted on the limited Pre-Union rehearsal timetable of less than six days, with performances ending on night #5. This cast worked all day, then in the cast housing ’til 4am, sleeping 3 hours a night to get the show ready. Only champions could jump in that ring, and still be standing on this Monday night closing performance. (This rare video is from a single back-of-house camera with 23+ year old vhs tape recorded for archival preservation, educational purpose and documentation.) This was the first African-American production and performance EVER in the “quaint village” of Blowing Rock, where population was scarcely diverse in the 1980′s (or today). This was also the same year the musical was a Revival on Broadway, garnering a Tony Award Nomination, having won Best Musical exactly 10 years earlier. CONTROVERSIAL IN 1988? The performers would agree the significance of their presence within that context cannot be overstated. The atmosphere wasn’t quite as warm outside the theatre for these hot performers. Loren Harper, Judy Young, Keith Roberts, Terry Henry and Denise Gray are remembered also for their dignity in facing the cold quiet climate off-stage, where their own warmth was conspicuous as coal in snow. Every performance began with circled prayer backstage …

Question by Piece of Mind: Any creative ideas for this…?
I’m trying to find a way to attach a pen to a few dozen metal folding chairs so that those sitting behind these chairs can use and return the pen when finished.

Requirements:
1) Nothing can be permanently attached to the chair; the device must be able to be removed and re-applied any number of times.
2) The “pen” can be any writing instrument.
3) The device must be available for purchase or made using materials that are available for purchase. This must be proved by providing a web page reference (unless it’s a very common item).
4) The solution must look professional (e.g. “duct tape” can solve almost any problem, but usually doesn’t look very nice.)
5) The total cost per each pen and its associated attachment device must be $ 1 or less.
6) The device must be quiet (e.g. no Velcro).

Magnetic solutions are welcome. I’ve considered attaching magnets to the pens, but that risks violating #4 above – not a very graceful solution.

Thank you all for giving this some thought!

Best answer:

Answer by Kelli M
I am not sure how to do it, you would need to play with it.. but some fabric and some hot glue and you should be able to make little magnetic loops… see if you can visualize what I am saying… a small round magnet with a fabric hoop glued to it. the magnet would attach to the chair (for as long as you needed it) and the pens would slip onto the loop (noiseless & cute)

What do you think? Answer below!

Question by Toby: Why is WWE adding fuel to the fire?
I copied this information from a wrestling source listen to this statement made by the WWE company

WWE.com is reporting that the following has officially been added to WWE’s Wellness Policy:

“WWE has eliminated using folding metal chairs to ‘strike’ an opponent in the head. The WWE penalizes through fine and/or suspension the following: The intentional use of a folding chair to ‘strike an opponent in the head. Any blow to the head that is deemed an intentional act.”

Okay now how many people agree with me that WWE has become the most stupid wrestling company of all times?

I’m glad that after wrestle mania 26 I’m not watching WWE anymore.

(PRWeb UK) March 30, 2011

Spring 2011 has marked the unveiling of the website relaunch from one of the UKs leading bed frame specialists, My Bed Frames. The new website features rejuvenated branding alongside an updated website look and feel, with several improvements to the ecommerce stores navigation and product search facility.

In addition to the existing range of metal and wooden bed frames, the recently refreshed website is also now home to a significantly enhanced product base, with several entirely new categories now in place these include the addition of guest beds, folding beds, bunk beds and a brand new selection of standard and custom size mattresses.

The Childrens Bed Frames category has been also bolstered with the addition of versatile, classically designed metal-framed day beds, as well as a comprehensive selection of contemporary loft-style study bunks. These multipurpose bed units not only offer a comfortable sleeping area, but make good use of the space underneath the elevated upper bunk by providing a desk work area, shelving unit and optional chair or futon chair bed for an innovative and space-saving bedroom furniture solution.

In addition, My Bed Frames is now able to supply a large proportion of their wooden framed childrens bed frames in shorter sizes. This short bed frame option fits standard small single 5ft 3 (160cm) mattresses for convenience, and makes a perfect option for younger children and smaller bedroom spaces.

New Product Categories

My Bed Frames Sales Manager Jamie Welch describes the extensive changes to the online catalogue,

“Previously, we had focused on providing customers with primarily wooden and metal bed frames, as well as offering a small selection of coil and pocket sprung mattresses at standard sizes for a variety of budgets. Although we had some notable success with this range, we decided that we needed to build on the initial success and broaden our product range to provide a more comprehensive selection of bedroom furniture for our customers.”

For the new website, we not only expanded our existing ranges to include upholstered leather leather bed frames and childrens loft beds, but have also introduced a number of completely new products to the collection, including a large assortment of bunk beds for kids, space-saving guest beds and a huge new range of customisable sofa beds. Weve more than doubled our original online catalogue, as well as introducing the new custom build service for our memory mattresses and headboards, but we have complete confidence that our sales and revenue will continue to climb in 2011 thanks to these improvements.

A notable addition to the My Bed Frames product range includes the variety of standard and custom sized mattresses now available via the site. Previously, My Bed Frames supplied a limited range of coil and pocket sprung mattresses, but the latest catalogue update has seen the inclusion of a brand new range of mattresses upholstered with breathable, hypoallergenic and 100% waterproof Nautilus fabrics. And as well as their existing range of standard sized mattresses, My Bed Frames also provides an exclusive bespoke memory mattress supply service, offering customers virtually unlimited options on their memory foam mattress dimensions. The custom build service also extends to the new range of headboards available through the site, with customers now able to stipulate their own headboard dimensions, shape and fabric covering if desired.

Increased Choice

A significant portion of the revitalised My Bed Frames catalogue is now dedicated to guest bed frames, under the numerous Guest Bed, Folding Bed and Sofa Bed categories. These additions include space-saving trundle guest bed frames in a variety of traditional and contemporary styles, as well as completely customisable two, three and four seater sofa beds.

The new My Bed Frames site is all about choice and versatility, Mr Welch explains. A custom build service on our sofa beds – including customers ability to provide their own bespoke fabrics as well as stipulating sofa bed dimensions – means that there are almost limitless options available to everyone that chooses to shop with us. Considering that we also offer free UK mainland delivery and we continue to be one of the most competitively priced online bed frame suppliers, we feel that weve secured our niche. Were constantly reviewing and refreshing our range so were not resting our laurels by an means.

The relaunched and rebranded My Bed Frames website is now live and can be found at http://www.mybedframes.co.uk

About My Bed Frames

video on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 and recorded shows a redundant Cold War Royal Observer Corps underground monitoring posts in West Sussex. It is the second time I’ve visited this topic, and his condition has unfortunately rejected because of vandalism. As a result, I have decided to abandon their position. It also appears as a drug den and used with a mattress now been added since my last visit, thinking that it probably used for something else also, if you know what I mean. Since its founding in 1925 as an integral part of the British air defense was the primary role of the Royal Observer Corps (ROC), the detection and identification of enemy aircraft. With the onset of the Cold War and the growing threat of nuclear attack in 1950, explodes ROC the extra responsibility for reporting and monitoring nuclear fall out that in view of the construction of the 1563 underground monitoring posts throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland need . Most of the furniture (like bunk beds) and instrumentation were removed when the post closed, but some familiar parts remain as the water sump pump, etc. The first prototype underground post was at Farnham, Surrey, built in 1956 and consisted of a 15 foot entrance shaft, access to two rooms, one with a chemical toilet and the larger (15 feet X 7ft 6ins) monitoring room, equipped with deck chairs, folding table, shelf, cupboard and a few metal frame bunk beds.
