I think the girl in purple did a great job…Regina Spektor is timid and shy so she did a great interpretation of her if that’s what they were getting at. Then again I might think you’re talking about the wrong person because I’m colorblind..lol

The album version was produced by Jeff Lynne. I like both Regina and Jeff. The demo song by itself sounds campy, like her other work, but Jeff does a great job transforming it to have a more more ‘pop’ style sound.

Personally, I like the album version better. This one feels rushed and a bit disjointed at times. The newer one connects very well and I like the vocals in it better than in this one (even though her vocals in this one are still amazing).

I love this song! After forcing myself to listen to only the album version for the past few weeks, it’s refreshing to hear the simpler version. The new one is growing on me, though. = )
